ATM and breast cancer: Ataxia-Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM), a member of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)-related protein kinase (PIKK) family [115], mediates phosphorylation of seryl-tRNA synthetase (SerRS), which alleviates its transcriptional inhibition on hypoxia-induced binding of c-Myc and HIF-1 to the VEGFA promoter, and expression activation of VEGFA, thereby inducing angiogenesis in breast cancer [61].
