IL17A and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Furthermore, serum levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in patients with pancreatic cancer are significantly higher than in the healthy population, and levels of IL-17 and IL-23 are significantly higher in those with stage III–IV tumors than in those with stage I–II tumors, suggesting that increased levels of IL-23/IL-17 in pancreatic tumor tissues may be a marker of prognosis [11].
