LRFN2 and neurodevelopmental disorder: Of these, 22 (56%) were expressed more highly in neocortical than allocortical regions, including several cell adhesion molecules (DSCAM, PCDH7, PCDH9, LRFN2), teneurins (TENM3) and ephrins (EFNA5), as well as genes with functional links to language acquisition (FOXP2) and neurodevelopmental disorders (MEF2C, AFF2, ZEB2) (Supplementary Data S9).
