The powerful influence of cyclin D2 on CRC cell proliferation was observed in LS 174T CRC cell clones transfected with cyclin D2 in the absence of L1 that displayed an increase in proliferation over six days, similar to that induced by L1 (Figure 3D, cyclin D2 cl1, and cl2, compared to L1 cl2). The gene discussed is CCND2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
