To investigate the involvement of cyclin D2 in tumor development of L1-expressing human CRC cells, we isolated LS 174T cells, stably transfected with L1 in which the levels of endogenous cyclin D2 were suppressed using shRNA constructs compared to cyclin D2 (Figure 2A, L1+shcyclin D2, cl1, and cl2). The gene discussed is CCND2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
