This might explain the lack of significant differences in prescribed medications for SPIDDM patients based on the severity of DKD, despite evidence of certain medications like sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and angiotensin receptor blockers suppressing DKD progression in T2DM patients. Here, GLP1R is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
