GAD65 is mainly expressed in the superficial lamina, whereas GAD67 is primarily found in the deeper lamina.31 Laminae I–III of the SCDH participate in neuropathy-induced nociceptive sensitization.22 Hence, we focused on GAD65 rather than GAD67 because the superficial lamina of the SCDH contributes to nociceptive sensitization. The gene discussed is GAD2; the disease is neuropathy.
