GPT and disorder of methionine catabolism: They include isolated plasma hypermethioninemia at 384 μmol/L (normal 10–60), mildly elevated total homocysteine level 14 μmol /L, (normal 5–10), and chronic liver failure with elevated ALT 250 IU/L, (normal 5–30), and potential coagulation abnormalities, suggested by prolonged PT 14.9 sec (normal 9.6–11.8) and low fibrinogen 0.9 g/L (normal 1.7–4.0).
