Men and women showed significant differences in most clinical variables including anthropometric measurements, age, duration of diabetes, the prevalence of hypertension and smoking history, fat deposal, baPWV, and ventricular structure and function (p < 0.05); LDL‐C, fasting C‐peptide, glucose, and insulin level were not significantly different according to sex (p > 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene INS and hypertensive disorder.
