NPPB and diabetes mellitus: When stratified according to NT-proBNP of <125 pg/ml or ≥125 pg/ml, participants with elevated NT-proBNP were older, were more often male, had a longer duration of diabetes, had a higher WC among female participants, had a higher WHR and had a more adverse lipid profile, with higher LDL-cholesterol, lower HDL-cholesterol, higher SBP, higher urine ACR and lower eGFR.
