GPX4 and liver cancer: To the best of our knowledge, our study is the first to show that NRF2, in cooperation with the central miR-936/Pim-3/ANKRD18A/Src axis, can shut down new start-up programs of ferroptosis in liver cancer, with increases in TFR1 and DMT1 expression, but decreases in SLC7A11, GPX4, NQO1, and HO-1 protein levels.
