In summary, NRF2 activation caused by the energizing of the miR-936/Pim-3/ANKRD18A/Src axis in addition to the p62/Keap1/NRF2 pathway constitutes a reliable strategy to escape sorafenib-induced ferroptosis and is ideal for meeting the inordinate demands of liver cancer cells for the acquisition of resistance to sorafenib.
