Several responsible signaling pathway, i.e., endothelial fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) (Srivastava et al., 2020; Wu et al., 2018), endothelial Sirtuin3 (SIRT3)-mediated signaling mechanism (Quan et al., 2020), dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4)-mediated signaling mechanism (Daza-Arnedo et al., 2021; Hsu et al., 2022), glucocorticoid receptor signaling (Srivastava et al., 2021a) therefore becomes as key target to inhibit renal fibrosis and related kidney injury.
