Interestingly, considering there is a statistically significant loss of potassium in the urine of female Myh9&10 TAL-cKO mice compared to littermate controls at 9 weeks of age (P value = 0.029) (Figure S11 and Table S8), we hypothesize that the collecting duct segment might be responsible for the hypernatremia in female Myh9&10 TAL-cKO mice. The gene discussed is MYH9; the disease is Hypernatremia.
