Additionally, others withanolides, including WT1, WT2 and WTA were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity, although the data have not yet been published, WT1, WT2 and WTA showed in vitro cytotoxicity in different cell lines: HL-60 (leukemia), HCT-116 (colon), PC-3 (prostate), SNB-19 (glioblastoma) and non-tumorous murine fibroblasts (data provided by Dr. Pessoa, from the Laboratory of Phytochemical Analysis of Medicinal Plants of Federal University of Ceará, Brazil). The gene discussed is WT1; the disease is glioblastoma.
