Although total IgE levels were elevated (447 kU/L), allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) was ruled out, as both IgE and IgG levels against Aspergillus fumigatus were <0.1 kU/L. High-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) confirmed progressive disease with the development of a thick-walled left apical cavity and multifocal solid nodules in the left upper lobe (Figure 4). Here, IGHE is linked to allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis.
