To assess the function of IRF7 in cell migration, a wound healing assay was performed, which showed that knockdown of IRF7 significantly decreased the wound healing rate in both U251‐IDH‐WT and T98G‐IDH‐WT cells at 24 h, suggesting that downregulation of IRF7 could inhibit the migration of glioma cells in vitro (p < 0.05) (Figure 8B). This evidence concerns the gene IRF7 and central nervous system cancer.
