Based on 1573 lung cancer cases in men and 1473 in women with body composition measurements (1541 in men; 1428 in women with biomarker measurements), AFI in women, ALI in both sexes, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and total bilirubin in men were inversely associated, while gamma-glutamyl transferase in men and alkaline phosphatase in both sexes were positively associated with lung cancer risk. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and lung carcinoma.
