Due to the elevated fungi from asthma (Fig. 1M), perhaps through the transfer of oropharyngeal Candida into the lung during respiratory distress (Gani et al., 2020), there seems to be an increase in Bacteroides in the fluconazole-asthma group (Fig. 5B), the co-presentation of LPS and β-glucan (BG), the major cell wall components of Gram-negative bacteria and fungi, respectively, are possible. This evidence concerns the gene PPIB and asthma.
