ENO1 and cancer: One of these targets is Enolase 1 (ENO1), a glycolytic enzyme that primarily catalyses the conversion of 2-phosphoglyceric acid to phosphor-enol-pyruvic acid during glycolysis.11,12 It is a multifunctional protein, ubiquitously expressed in most human tissues under normal and pathophysiological conditions, and is found overexpressed in many cancers.11, -13
