HSPD1 and coinfection: Among all cultures that were GXPU-negative after MGIT culture, we identified five cultures (18%, five of 28) with evidence of a MTBC co-infection on targeted tNGS ONT deep sequencing of the hsp65 (n = 4) and gyrB2 (n = 1) genes, highlighting the utility of deep sequencing platforms to detect populations below the limit of detection (LOD) of commonly used practices in diagnostic laboratories.
