ESR2 and breast cancer: Regarding the potential mechanisms of action of the isolated components, the subnetwork in Fig. 5B indicates that p-coumaric acid, liquiritigenin, and 7-methyl liquiritigenin interacted with several protein targets associated with breast cancer including CA 1, 2, 4, 9, and 12, as well as aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B1 (AKR1B1), adenosine A3 receptor (ADORA3), protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 1 (PTPN1), and estrogen receptor 2 (ESR2).
