An increasing number of studies have demonstrated that CEMIP has abnormal expression in breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and other tumors, which can promote the biological process of tumor invasion, metastasis, apoptosis and so on.9, 10, 11 CEMIP could promote Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) process in colorectal cancer and facilitate mesenchymal transformation shuttling into circulation.12 This evidence concerns the gene CEMIP and prostate cancer.
