A total of 154 virulence factors were identified in 207 isolates, alongside 4 additional genes that have been identified as major virulence factors responsible for salmonellosis [37–39] including: the regulation gene hilA, the type I secretion system gene siiD, the enterotoxin gene stn, and fimA which encodes for a fimbrial protein (S5 Table). The gene discussed is EEF1A2; the disease is salmonellosis.
