While an extensive body of literature supports the concept that B cells are a significant circulating reservoir of infectious virus during acute dengue [13–17]–and CD300a has been posited to be a B cell entry receptor for DENV [17]–we believe these are the first results to suggest that B cell susceptibility to DENV infection can be dynamically impacted by prior DENV infections. The gene discussed is CD300A; the disease is dengue disease.
