miR-155 and miR-221 can regulate the cell cycle and invasive capacity of colon cancer by reducing the production of QKI (He et al., 2015; Mukohyama et al., 2019), while miR-574-5p inhibits the expression of QKI, particularly QKI-6/7, increasing proliferation, migration, and invasion, and decreasing differentiation and cell cycle arrest (Ji et al., 2013).
