Patients with transthyretin concentration ≤ 15 mg/dL were older, had lower BMI, poorer nutritional status (lower albumin and triglyceride levels), were more likely to be in an inflammatory state (higher hsCRP levels), had higher NT-proBNP concentration, lower LVEF, and a higher prevalence of diabetes and heart failure.
