RGMA and Cerebral ischemia: RGMa is involved in many physiological and pathological processes of the central nervous system.[15, 16] Our previous research demonstrated that RGMa expression is upregulated in multiple types of cells in ischemic areas after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, including neurons, astrocytes, and endothelial cells.[17, 18] RGMa promotes blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption, reactive astrogliosis,[17] and inflammation.[19] RGMa inhibition reduces infarct volume and promotes neurological function recovery.[17, 18, 19] RGMa may be a key target for neuroprotection after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.
