Recently, DG somatotroph adenomas coexpressing the transcription factors PIT1 and SF1 have been shown to have a distinct molecular and epigenetic profile when compared with other somatotroph adenomas, and a meta‐analysis indicated that they respond less favorably to SRL than somatotroph tumors which do not express SF1, and both have a better prognosis than SG somatotroph adenomas [83]. Here, SF1 is linked to growth hormone-producing pituitary gland neoplasm.
