Silencing METTL3 significantly inhibited HCC cell colony formation after exposure to oxaliplatin (Fig. 1H), but the effects were not as pronounced with other anticancer agents including cisplatin (DDP) and 5-FU (Fig. S1C), indicating that the hypersensitivity to oxaliplatin may indeed be more specific to its mode of action. This evidence concerns the gene METTL3 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
