In the prostate cancer dataset, 9 of the 30 selected genes (KLK2, KLK3, MSMB, TAGLN, SPON2, KLK4, PMEPA1, MYH11, AZGP1) are known to be enriched in prostate cancer tissues (i.e., have elevated expression in prostate cancer according to the Human Protein Atlas; HPA;30), while 19 are upregulated across various cancer types. This evidence concerns the gene PMEPA1 and prostate carcinoma.
