Among the four pathological parameters examined, based on three studies [34–36] involving 51 cases of metastatic CRC and 135 cases of non-metastatic CRC, a statistically significant correlation was found between the expression level of MALAT1 and distant metastasis, with an OR of 16.0118 (95% CI: 4.5618–56.2015, p < 0.0001; I^2 = 32.7%). The gene discussed is MALAT1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
