DMR analysis revealed that HMGCR and PCSK9, which lower serum LDL-C levels, were negatively associated with the risk of sleep apnea syndrome (OR = 0.627; 95% CI = 0.511–0.767; P = 6.30E−06) (OR = 0.775; 95% CI = 0.677–0.888; P = .0002) (Fig. 4; Figs. S7–S12, Supplemental Digital Content, http://links.lww.com/MD/N780; and Table S6, Supplemental Digital Content, http://links.lww.com/MD/N781). This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and sleep apnea syndrome.
