CRP and gastric cancer: The Meta analysis results showed that, except for the results of WBC (WMD = 0.68, P = 0.59) and TNF-α (WMD = -11.03, P = 0.46), the perioperative inflammatory indexes [including CRP(WMD = -1.51, P = 0.04), IL-1β (WMD = -26.34, P = 0.0005), IL-6 (WMD =- 5.38, P < 0.00001)] of gastric cancer patients treated with enteral nutrition with ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid preparations during surgery were better than those of conventional EN preparations, and the difference was statistically significant, as shown in Table 5.
