Figures 6E–G illustrated significant cytokine elevation in the UV-exposed model group compared to the control control, confirming UV’s role in exacerbating skin inflammation. After 7 days of treatment, significant reductions in IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α were observed in both the MTX and EHMF-treated groups, with the TNF-α reduction notably pronounced in the EHMF groups. Additionally, EGFR levels, crucial for maintaining skin homeostasis and abnormally increased by UV exposure, were effectively normalized in the treatment groups (Figure 6H). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and dermatitis.
