Consistent with our hypothesis that Plin5 deficient animals on WD are healthier than WT controls, genera Oscillospiraceae NK4A214 that has been identified previously as a prognostic marker for obesity, various metabolic disorders and inflammatory bowel diseases was more enriched in WT animals of the MAFLD model (Burakova et al., 2022). Here, PLIN5 is linked to obesity disorder.
