CRP and Sepsis: Elevated CRP levels (>100 mg/L) were associated with a 50% increased risk of death (HR: 1.50, 95% CI: 1.12-2.01, p = 0.008) in sepsis, while in septic shock, the risk increased to 70% (HR: 1.70, 95% CI: 1.20-2.32, p = 0.002).
