In this study, we investigated the implication of NLRP3 in an in vivo model of tendinopathy, by inducing a sterile tendon damage injecting collagenase in the Achilles’ mice tendon and found that while NLRP3 controls IL-1β production, other ASC-dependent inflammasome was required for IL-18 production. Here, IL1B is linked to disease of the tendon.
