Studies have identified HLA-B as a key genetic factor in ADRs, particularly severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCARs) such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) (Jantararoungtong et al., 2021; Kloypan et al., 2021). Here, HLA-B is linked to toxic epidermal necrolysis.
