Within the pre-infection immune cell population, 17.3 ± 1.3% were CD4+ T cells, 21.5 ± 3.1% were CD8+ T cells, 1.8 ± 0.3% were NCR1+ NK cells, 12.8 ± 2.3% were IgM+ B cells, 5.4 ± 0.7% were IgG1+ B cells, 5.9 ± 0.6% were CD14+ monocytes, and 4.9 ± 0.9% of immune cells expressed cell surface CD25 (Figure 1E–K).
