Some studies have shown that the anti-inflammatory action of isoorientin is related to the inhibition of the NLRP3 pathway in models of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury in rats [32] and trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis in mice [33], although, even in these studies, the effects of isoorientin extend to other pro-inflammatory cytokines.
