Figure 3 shows the 37 active compounds associated with IBD. Among these active compounds, Figure 4 shows that quercetin specifically targets AKT1. In response to reactive oxygen species, the activation of NF-κB through IκB kinase is known to involve the PI3K/AKT/PTEN pathway. Consequently, this pathway is considered to have a substantial effect on CD [27]. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and inflammatory bowel disease.
