A meta-analysis shows that curcumin supplementation alone, in combination with physical activity, dietary guidance, and/or lifestyle modifications, can lower blood levels of total cholesterol, total triglycerides, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, fasting blood insulin, LDL, and as well as homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance and waist circumference.
