In terms of laboratory parameters, we identified that the median values of inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (81.5 mg/dL vs. 70 mg/dL, p = 0.026), fibrinogen (519.5 mg/dL vs. 474.5 mg/dL, p = 0.048), and ferritin (840.1 ng/dL vs. 540.5 ng/dL, p = 0.007) were significantly higher among patients with oral candidiasis compared to those without oral candidiasis (Table 2). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is oral candidiasis.
