CBF leukemia is a subtype of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) characterized by the presence of either reciprocal translocation between the long arms of chromosomes 8 and 21, t(8;21)(q22;q22)/RUNX1::RUNX1T1, pericentric inversion of chromosome 16, inv(16)(p13q22), or its variant, t(16;16)(p13q22)/CBFB::MYH11 [40].
