Serum levels of LH activity for women with obesity and PCOS (9.73 (8.55; 10.79) mIU/mL) are significantly larger than those of obese women without PCOS (4.50 (3.35; 7.30) mIU/mL; p < 0.0001) and subjects from the control group (5.88 (4.45; 7.08) mIU/mL; p = 0.0007). Here, PLOD1 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
