In the random effects model, the relative risk (RR) of NASH resolution compared to placebo was significantly higher for all treatments (Figure 4): FGF21 (RR 4.84, 95% CI: 2.59 to 9.03, p < 0.0001), GLP-1 agonists (RR 2.48, 95% CI: 1.30 to 4.72, p = 0.006), and Resmetirom (RR 3.06, 95% CI: 1.91 to 4.91, p < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene FGF21 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
