The reduced expression of miR-181a-2-3p in our NGS data is consistent with Liang et al. (2022) [58] who also demonstrated downregulation of miR-181a-2-3p in myelodysplastic syndrome, but not with Li et al. (2021), who showed upregulation of miR-181a-2-3p and downregulation of the MYLK target gene in gastric cancer [59]. The gene discussed is MYLK; the disease is myelodysplastic syndrome.
