We have focused on newly identified m6A ‘readers’ insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding proteins (IGF2BPs), which regulate gene expression by binding to m6A sites on target mRNAs influencing cancer stem cells, proliferation, migration, glycolysis, cell cycles, angiogenesis, and therapy resistance [16,36,37,38,39,40,41]. The gene discussed is IGF2; the disease is cancer.
