Analysis of fetal brains on embryonic day 17.5 from a preeclampsia mouse model induced by angiotensin II (Ang II) reveals an elevated expression of inflammatory cytokines, including IL-6, IL-17a, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), IL-12, IL-4, and IL-10, with microglia in the fetal brains transforming into an activated, amoeboid morphology, indicating heightened inflammatory responses [77]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and preeclampsia.
