Two luminal-A breast cancer cell lines—MCF-7 (p53wild type) and T47D (p53L194F)—when treated with MortaparibPlus, showed the transition of the perinuclear Mortalin staining pattern to the pancytoplasm, the relocated p53 to the nucleus, a decrease in Mortalin expression at the transcriptional level, and the inactivation of PARP-1 [80]. This evidence concerns the gene HSPA9 and breast cancer.
