This analysis also provided insights regarding the deregulation of genes involved in wound healing responses, vasculature development, and angiogenesis, which not only points towards the expected phenotypes of GATA4/6 KD in GC cells (see below) but also confirms the involvement of GATA-mediated functions in GC progression and metastasis beyond initial carcinogenesis (Figure 1, Supplementary Table S10). The gene discussed is GATA4; the disease is gastric cancer.
